Waterloo Road is looking to expand its team and has a position for a Script editor. This is an office-based role in Greater Manchester and we ideally are looking for candidates who are based in Manchester or within driving distance. The deadline is Monday 9th June 2025 at 9am.Job description:- Participate in script meetings and lead when required- Be main point of contact for writers- Give detailed notes to writers- Work closely with production and attend production meetings- Have a strong knowledge of Final Draft- Work closely with the senior script editor, story producer and story team to maintain continuity- Work with the research team to ensure all scripts are factually correct- Maintain a good communication with the editorial teamCriteria:Candidates will be able to demonstrate evidence of the following:- At least one year's experience working as a script editor in television drama- Can work to tight deadlines- Can give clear concise notes- Able to generate story ideas if required- Can edit other people's work with sensitivity- A passion for the show is essential
