Silverprint Pictures is a dynamic drama production company which is part of ITV Studios. With an eclectic and diverse development slate, we are committed to working with new and established voices to produce vibrant, distinctive and emotional stories for UK and international audiences across the world. Silverprint's productions include A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story for ITV/ITVX, Shetland for the BBC and Vera for ITV as well as a large variety of developments for a range of commissioners

The role will initially be working in development where you will provide editorial support to the Creative Director and Development Director, helping to drive forwards existing development projects at varying stages, doing script reports, book breakdowns and submissions reading, as well as helping to seek out new projects and writers for all broadcasters/platforms, when needed. You will establish and maintain excellent writer relationships and have a strong eye for new talent and a head for exciting ideas, with a commercial awareness. You will ensure that all commissioned pitches and scripts are of the highest calibre.

As projects move forward to production, you will lead the day-to-day script process during pre-production and production, in consultation with the EP, and will ensure that all scripts and treatments meet the highest standard both editorially and in production terms.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
* This role is for a script editor in the early stages of their career. You will have experience in a scripted editorial role, in production and development, but will have a hunger and eagerness to continue to learn the craft (at least 6 months experience).
* Experience working in High End TV Drama.
* Strong knowledge of script and production processes, along with editorial guidelines of relevant broadcaster/platform.
* Proven ability and experience of working with writers, generating script notes, and supporting the writer's work.
* Experience dealing with all departments including cast, writers, production teams and HoDs.
* Flexibility- willing to work long hours during production.
* Prepared to travel if/when necessary.
* Administrative experience and skills.
* Working knowledge of Final Draft is desirable.
* Experience working with sensitive information with discretion and diplomacy.
* Ability to understand and interpret commissioner notes, notes from editorial team and writer concerns.
* Able to work independently or as a member of a team and work in a confident and collaborative way.
