We are an Independent Production Company based in Central Manchester specialising in Comedy and Entertainment. The company was formed in 2005 and has produced shows for Channel 4, E4, Paramount Comedy and is about to go into production with a six part comedy series, Admin, for BBC Three.Training Description· This is an invaluable opportunity to gain experience on a comedy production with one of the region's leading independent comedy producers.· A clean driving licence would be an advantage · We are an equal opportunities employer Training Role and Key Responsibilities· Working in the production office and on location in Manchester and to the directions of the Production Manager.· Ability to carry out a wide range of duties for long hours sometimes being menial repetitive tasks· Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure to constantly changing deadlines· Organise production paperwork, call sheets, scripts etc.· Distribute scripts, paperwork, dealing with incoming and outgoing post.· Book taxis/hire cars/couriers and keep necessary records.· Make bookings on company credit card and keep necessary records.· Prod. Sec and/or Running duties as needed on location· Assisting with logging and liaising with post-production house.· Assisting the Production Manager across the post-production period.· Assisting with post-production paperwork.Placement EndWe hope that by the end of the placement the individual would have gained specific knowledge, experience and competences in the following areas - · Supporting Production Manager, to whom you will report directly· Assist with call sheets for shoots· Book travel & hotels · Assist on location shoot.· Running errands to facility houses in Central Manchester· Logging - transcribing whatever is on rushes tapes · keeping track of shooting tapes that come in and out the office· Assist with programme deliverables and documentationTraining Area: Runner / Production SecretaryLength of Training: 16 weeksPlacement Allowance: £316 per weekPlacement Start Date: 23rd March 2009Placement End Date: 10th July 2009Placement Location ManchesterTraining Schedule: Monday - FridayTraining hours: 9.30am - 6pm during pre prod and post 7am - 7pm during shoot (20/04/09 - 29/05/09)To apply please visit our website and complete an application form: Deadlines for all applications is 11th March 2009Please note that to be eligible to apply you must NOT be in full time education NOR have more than one year of industry experience.
