Wildbrain Spark is looking for a freelance paint and roto artist to work on our exciting stopmotion projects.
The Roto/Paint Artist would be working with a small team of animators working on rig removal and plate preparation for our stopmotion projects.

Knowledge of roto and paint skills in After Effects essential.

The position requires a high degree of technical skill and artistic judgment with fast turnaround deadlines.

There may be opportunities for compositing of final shots and experience in After effects compositing would be an advantage.

Duties Include:
Use paint and compositing techniques in After Effects to produce clean plates, remove rigs or other artifacts.

Work with the Animation and Post Production departments to ensure that all technical and creative standards are met.

Must be open to feedback and ensure notes are applied and revisions created.

Maintain a clean and organised project structure as work is often shared with other artists.

Perform quality control (QC) on shots before they are submitted for review/approval.

Other miscellaneous duties as required from time-to-time by the animation team.

Update progress and delays with production management via e-mail.
