We are looking for a Rigging Technician (Grade 5 - 3) to join the National Theatre's Stages team on an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract. This role is for those who are in the early stages of their career, having recently graduated, completed an apprenticeship or have a similar level of work experience, and are looking to develop their skills in the field of theatre rigging and flying. Applicants should have a reasonable level of technical ability as they will be expected to work alongside the in-house teams on a day-to-day basis, producing and running shows to a high professional standard.The successful candidates will have the following: Some technical experience in a professional theatre environmentBasic stagecraft skills, good spatial awareness and comfortable with working at heightAn awareness of lifting equipment and key theatre rigging and flying techniquesAn understanding of working safely and the risk assessment processGood written and verbal communication skillsIf that sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you!
