Researcher

London

We are looking for a Researcher to come and work on a returning Channel 4 daytime show, called Find It, Fix It, Flog It. The show follows keen up-cycler Simon O'Brien, who loves turning everyday items into pieces of furniture whilst motorbike-mad, Henry Cole loves restoring anything automotive, as they embark on their quest to uncover hidden treasures in sheds up and down the UK, with the hope of turning a tidy profit for the shed owners.

The ideal candidate must be organised and have excellent researching skills, as their primary role will involve finding new sheds, barns or garages full of interesting items for Henry and Simon to take away and give a new lease of life to. The successful candidate must be personable on the phone as they'll be required to speak with potential contributors. In addition, you will need a good eye for story development, as they will be expected to perform location recces, with the intent of the location being signed off by the commissioner. Working closely with the AP in the office, the role will be based in London, with opportunities to go out on location following pre-production. Adept social media skills are a bonus but not essential. You must have a full driving licence as well. We're looking for an applicant to start beginning of November for a long-term contract, through to around May, with the potential option to extend.
