Because of the nature of the production being developed, the successful candidate will need to have a Muslim background or a detailed knowledge of the present-day Islamic world, as well as an easy familiarity with social media.

Six month freelance contract to assist established writer/director in the development of a contemporary TV drama for Channel 4. Significant and demonstrable experience of factual research in tv, print or online necessary. The rôle will involve tracking down and gaining the trust of men and women who are not necessarily easy to locate or win over. Successful candidate will need to show experience of this kind of work. Examples of previous interview transcripts and summaries will be required to support application. A clear, strong and grammatically accurate prose style is essential. Primary base will be researcher's own home which will need to have full internet access and be within London/SE region. All approved expenses covered. NOTE: This is not a nine to five job.
