BBC Studios' Documentary Unit is looking for an experienced researcher to join their returning network crime series. You will have a keen eye for identifying potential stories, excellent organisational skills and the ability to keep detailed, accurate notes and briefing documents. You will be working as part of a small team on a very busy production. You will be required to assist during filming so will need experience of working on location. An ability to self-shoot or do sound would be beneficial. You will ned to have a strong background in television production and/or a very strong journalistic background. The ability to work flexible hours is essential due to the ad-hoc nature of the filming. Knowledge of legal issues, particularly with regards to crime output, is key to this role. You will have great people skills and the ability to work tactfully and diplomatically with the police and sensitive contributors.
