Good Morning Britain has a rare opportunity for a researcher to join their talented team.

We need someone who has a real thirst for news. They must have the drive and determination to chase and secure exclusive stories, a thorough knowledge of using social media, as well as the creative flare to deliver content that captures the audience's attention.

If television is your passion, you ferociously consume current affairs, tweetdeck is your best friend and you thrive on delivering before deadlines, this could be the job for you.

You will be playing a key role, right at the heart of our dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include offering original programme ideas, nailing exclusive stories and guests, researching stories and writing concise factually correct briefs. You will also be required to conduct research interviews, brief guests and assist with producing lives on location.

To be considered you must have strong research and fact checking skills. A background as a researcher in a broadcast or news environment and a journalism degree is advantageous.

GMB is on air five days a week. In this role you will have to work some weekends, early mornings, late nights and bank holidays which will be returned to you in Days off in Lieu (DOIL).
