Researcher - Business Development

London

Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded
entertainment.

Our diverse team of over 250 team members work in offices across the UK and beyond,
producing top level sports such as Formula One, UEFA and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime-time documentaries and entertainment quiz shows for a raft of broadcasters.

In 2023 Whisper won a BAFTA and was nominated for an International EMMY.
It's co-owned by Sony Pictures Television and is a seven-times Broadcast Best Places to Work.

We are looking for a Researcher to work in our fast-paced Business Development Team, assisting with
designing and writing creative pitch decks to win new business. This role will primarily involve supporting a team of assistant producers and producers in the process of creating content.

This post would suit a creative researcher with a passion for sport, strong literacy skills and a keen eye for detail. Previous development experience advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with creating pitch documents and responses to tenders for major sports production, branded and international contracts using Keynote and Photoshop to Whisper's format and brand guidelines
• Contribute creative and editorial ideas across sports and branded entertainment including picture research and other relevant ideas that will enhance the pitch
• Collate research materials from team members across the company and work with the business development team to create well researched, high quality pitch decks
• Research and contribute creative ideas to the pitch process and ensure that the ideas are current and releva
• Researching back stories of contributors and suggesting interesting elements to film


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Strong literacy skills with a good eye for spelling and grammar
• Ability to do research and collate archive materials including content and stills for the pitch films and deck
• Meticulous attention to detail in upholding Whisper's brand standards and guidelines
• Capability in handling varied workloads, prioritising and delivering to deadlines whilst reacting positively to changes and feedback
• Strong team ethic and the ability to prioritise workloads with ease, working in a pressurised team environment and understanding the role of a researcher.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Understanding and knowledge of brands and the ability to adapt to varying brand styles and
guidelines
• Thorough knowledge of a wide range of information and research sources
• A strong eye for visual imagery that can tell a story
• A general knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, sports and TV production in general both in the UK and globally





Desirable Skills:

• Robust design skills including knowledge of, and competency with, Microsoft Office, Apple,
Photoshop and Keynote

Location:
London (Kew office)

Working Days:
Monday - Friday. 4 days office, 1 day WFH.
Whisper offers the option of flexitime hours. When weekend work is required, DOILS will be provided.

Contract Dates:
Mon 29th April for a 12 month FTC
