Radio Producer - Sounds of the Seventies (BBC Radio 2)

london

Producer - Sounds of the Seventies
Presented by the broadcasting legend Johnnie Walker, Sounds of the Seventies broadcasts on BBC Radio 2 every Sunday afternoon 15.00-17.00.

Having recently achieved it's highest ever RAJAR result, we're looking for a producer who has the ability to continue to grow and develop the show across all relevant platforms.

A good understanding of 70's music and culture is essential for this role, as is an ability to deliver the output in a contemporary fashion to an audience, some of whom won't have lived through the decade.

You will need meticulous forward planning skills, the ability to edit using pro-tools and understand BBC systems and processes. Wise Buddah's Music Scheduler will plot the programme's music.

You should have live studio production experience and a good knowledge of BBC Editorial guidelines, broadcast/Ofcom regulations and compliance procedures. Digital production/distribution skills are also essential.

This is a staff position with a 3-month probationary period, although it may also be offered as a part-time/freelance role.
