We are looking for a talented and accomplished radio presenter to present Saturday and Sunday Breakfast (6 - 10am) on a regional show broadcasting across Stoke, Hereford and Worcester and Shropshire. We're flexible, so if you are interested in presenting one of the shows we still want to hear from you. The role will be based at the station that is closest to you from the list above. This is an exciting opportunity to launch a new show that aims to pull in the listeners with engaging and relatable presentation, topical conversation and plenty of reasons to smile. As a presenter you'll need to create a great emotional connection and be "one of our listeners". Your content needs to be real and relatable and you'll love talking about our great music. Central to the role is being in touch with what the audience cares about and being able to bring that to life in a creative and entertaining way. You will have strong ideas about what makes great radio and work well in a team to create award-winning audio.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesTo have an accomplished and engaging radio presentation style.To be experienced in the production of a range of material for radio, including music and speech.To be able to present personality-based material, breaking news, human interest and more.To have a broadcast manner which is engaging and entertaining.To generate ideas and stories as well a creative treatments.Knowledge, Skills, Training & ExperienceEssential:Radio experience presenting a range of shows.A high standard of editorial judgment and production skills based on substantial broadcast experience.A developed / specialist knowledge of the local radio audience and knowledge of the editorial patch. An understanding of how the BBC's Impartiality Guidelines apply to the role.Proficiency in the use of a radio studio and broadcast technology.Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key people.The flexibility and adaptability to sustain performance, particularly under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities and circumstances.An understanding of health and safety procedures and how they apply to broadcasting.
