The role of Promos Researcher is to help create campaigns and presentation items across a variety of media. This can involve assisting on some or all of the following on any given project: idea generation; copywriting and editing. The ideal candidate will have a talent for storytelling and aptitude to find and use pictures to tell a story in a thought provoking and attention-grabbing way.You will work with the Creatives in the department to help implement the ITV Daytime promotional strategy, devising 360 campaigns that are original, on brand and in budget, whilst working with our award winning, in-house team of creatives, producers, editors and motion graphic designers.The Promos Researcher is a role where energy and passion for ideas and media is crucial. The job is extremely varied and includes a range of work across the live daytime shows. The role will stretch and develop new and emerging talent with ITV studios daytime, with opportunities to work with more senior members of the creative team on priority campaigns over the year. Role ResponsibilitiesWriting and producing a 10" daily promo for This Morning and/or LorraineMedia management and delivery of all daytime promos alongside daytime post production and central tech services teamGeneral production requests such as archive call in/clearance and reportingPlanning media workflows from a variety of camera typesWorking closely with Daytime Post, Graphics and Technology to ensure smooth operational deliveryAttending and contributing to regular department meetings and programme debriefsKeep up to date with the latest software, technologies and methods of graphics productionProactive in generating new and relevant ideasSkills you'll need (minimum criteria)...Experience within a live television environment with good understanding of how it is outputted and proven experience of work flow through the Media acquisitions areaRelevant experience in footage and picture clearance and archive research for broadcastUnderstanding of broadcast production process including file transfers, visual and audio levels matrixGood understanding of all processes and workflows within within broadcast environmentWorking knowledge of broadcast technical standards including Ofcom guidelinesExperience writing and producing promos and copywriting skillsOther things we're looking for (key criteria)...In-depth knowledge of ITV Daytime showsAble to remain calm within demanding time critical departmentHaving a great eye for clip selectionProactive and self motivatedHigh attention to detail and accuracyKeen, enthusiastic and interested in maximising the contribution of the Promos DeptExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to develop positive working relationships
