BET are seeking a Promo Producer , who will be responsible for generating original ideas for promotions and larger 360-degree promotional campaigns across the entire portfolio of BET. Excellent scripting and Premiere editing skills are required as well as an understanding and keen interest of directing, animation and promotion in the social media and digital space. Coordinating and budget handling experience is also essential to this role. Personality to work within a small team and is warm, fun, and confident. He/she may be a long time mid-weight star. Reports into the VP Programming BET International. Role Responsibilities:-- Define and implement the brand's voice across all creative work, write copy and scripts that bring to life the BET brand and delivers on creative brief objectives and strategies. - Develop original copy, concepts, scripts, ideas and pitches that work within BET's voice and tone - Coordinate and collaborate with BET brand advancement team for creative initiatives and assignments. - Keep up-to-date with BET; understand the brand's role in the culture and stay plugged in to shows and news that pertain to channel - Stay current on black culture global trends including music, graphics, online and pop culture - Generate creative that connects to our audience. - Work independently as well as with compliance, creative and brand managers to assure that final projects are delivered on-time, formatted properly, legally vetted & Ofcom complied, documented, on budget, and on-brand. - Utilize strong, high-level conceptual thinking to create work that can be campaignable across many mediums (on-air, print, digital, etc.) - Collaborate across disciplines, ie: with design, media, digital departments, etc. - Interpret a brief to make creative work that's a solution to business goals - Oversee all aspects of pre- and post-production (record sessions, edit sessions, etc.) with proficiency and professionalism - Be proficient in knowledge of post-production process and tools including editing, graphics, shoot/photography advancements - Conception, development, production and implementation of channel trailers, program sizzle reels, presentation tapes, marketing sales tapes. - Produce Special Projects: behind-the-scenes, programming interstitials, sneak peeks. - Supervise and direct voiceover sessions. - Candidate must have brand relative musical knowledge and be able to pick tracks that are on brand for promos from provided music libraries and/or oversee choice of popular track or original composition. - Collaborate and implement editorial and Ofcom compliant updates to daily shows such as 106 & Park and Wendy Williams, etc -Manage, maintain and develop secondary events and continuity for the channel. -Assist channel operations with promotional media planning. Required skills/experience:- To be competent at supervising online/offline edits.To be proficient at PremiereTo have an understanding of 3D/2D animation and graphic design.Proven substantial experience within an on-air / production environmentA good understanding of the TV and post production environmentGood script writing skills and a rounded knowledge and experience of post-production, audio, VO and graphics are required.Show relevant shooting ability. Either through self-shooting or experience of single camera direction.Knowledge of MAC and PC softwareExcellent problem solving and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a very creative departmentUp to date knowledge of ITC regulations is requiredAbility to work with a small creative team and to interact in a friendly and professional way with other departments and outside clients will also be essential.A responsible and creative approach to problem solving.Must be able to demonstrate up to date music knowledge and enthusiasmMust have a passion in working for a Black Entertainment channel and an affinity with the programming of the channel.
