Project Manager

4Studio is the driving force behind C4's digital acceleration strategy, with the objective to create, adapt and distribute brilliant content across our social and digital channels, building engaged audiences that deliver digital views at scale. The Business Operations team get things done. Made up of Operations, Project & Process Managers, they ensure our ways of working are agile and efficient and lead on our biggest and most important changes or launches across the department and other Channel 4 teams. The team are our key contacts for keeping projects & processes flowing smoothly and efficiently through the department. The role is based in C4's National HQ in Leeds and will be a key component of C4's regional strategy, providing creative job opportunities outside of London and expanding the diversity of the company's creative contribution.

Role Purpose

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading and managing 4Studio projects and workstreams from initiation to closure. This includes planning, executing and implementing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget. Working across all 4Studio teams and with neighbouring Channel 4 departments our Project Managers are our go to people to get things done, lead change and inspire project teams to deliver successful outcomes. The Project Manager will be a natural collaborator and exceptional communicator, helping bring order and clarity, solve problems and ensure stakeholders are continually informed on progress throughout the project lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILTIES

Project Planning:
Develop clear and complete project plans outlining project deliverables and milestones
Ensure scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements are well planned and communicated
Define project tasks and manage the allocation of work to team members to deliver successful project outcomes
Work closely with the Agile Delivery & Resource Manager & team managers to ensure project resource allocation is well planned
Create and communicate clear timelines and plans, ensuring stakeholders are aware of what's happening at all times
Monitor project timelines and milestones.• Ensure projects stay on track, owning the implementation of changes & decisions required to achieve successful outcomes.

Project Delivery:
Ensure projects achieve their necessary outcomes
Ensure deliverables meet the desired quality & outcomes
Conduct regular progress reviews and make adjustments as needed

Collaboration & Project Leadership:
Form & lead cross-functional project teams, creating a positive and collaborative team environment on your projects
Provide coaching, support & direction to project team members
Work exceptionally closely with other Project Managers and Operations team members to create a cohesive and aligned Project & Operations portfolio, supporting each other & ensuring you can deliver your projects in a complex and dynamic content production environment.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:
Bring clarity and drive engagement in your projects through excellent communication.
Communicate plans, requirements and progress updates to stakeholders ensuring they are well informed and aware of what's happening on your projects
Lead & facilitate regular project and steering meetings.
Build strong and engaged project teams, reflecting on your strong relationship management skills

Risk & Issue Management:
Create and own appropriate risk & issue management strategies on your projects
Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Own & resolve any issues or conflicts on your projects.
Implement changes to the project plan as necessary, ensuring these are approved & well communicated.

Documentation:
Create & maintain excellent project documentation, with up to date information and appropriate version control.
Deliver regular impactful project reports and communications to stakeholders, keeping them informed, always.

Experience and Skills
Proven Project Management experience in Digital, Social Agency, or TV sector as a Project Manager, or similar role.
Demonstrable experience working with a high volume of projects in a fast paced environment
Strong project leadership & people skills. You must be approachable, collaborative and able to form engaged project teams
Strong understanding of project management and methodologies, with a recognised project management qualification (e.g. PMP, APM, Prince2, Agile Project Management)
Experience & proficiency with project management tools and software, with preferred experience using Monday.com, or similar work management tools.
Preferred experience of an Agile/SCRUM environment & methodologies.
Demonstrate a good understanding of digital production processes.
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You must be able to communicate well with a variety of stakeholders and levels across our organisation
