We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager for 6 months contract (initially) to proactively manage a portfolio of Projects and Programmes within our Supply Chain function, while maintaining communication with all stakeholders, and ensuring the quality of the deliverables produced. On some projects, the Project Manager may be required to input into the analysis of the business requirements and also into the overall solution design. You will manage projects, activities and tasks in order to ensure commercial success, to deliver desired outcomes and deliver change. This role requires an approach that matches and recognises the extremely fast paced and continually evolving nature of the business. Some of the things that you will do: • Set up standard project processes and documentation• Leads and directs a variety of projects within Supply Chain and Logistics which may involve both internal and external resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with business executives• Presents project status and issues to other stakeholders through formal and informal presentations• Conducts regular meetings with stakeholders documenting current status of project including technical, schedule and financial issues that may be present• Manages project from conception to completion• Works in a thorough and detailed manner on all aspects of the job role• Coordinate the activity of internal and external teams to deliver the solutions required• Manages the team involved in the process indirectly as needed to ensure the success of the project• Responds to identified systems and organisational needs in a proactive manner• Communicates, influences and updates key stakeholders to ensure the success of projects• Maintains a high level of commercial awareness to ensure all projects are continually aligned to the changing business needs• Controls time, cost and resources to ensure completion to balance budget with meeting needs and demands of the business• Develops awareness and skills relating to project management within the immediate and wider team Required Skills and Experience: • A background in hands-on project management within the Supply Chain/Logistics/Distribution industries, ideally with experience in setting up new warehouses or distribution centres• Experience of Agile and waterfall ways of working• Qualifications in Project Management with a background of utilising these qualifications to improve delivery.• Working knowledge of business processes, system development and process improvements.• Proficient in gathering business requirements, process flows and uses cases.• Ability to influence stakeholders and challenge constructively• Organised, self-starter who is able to respond to change positively whilst applying appropriate governance.
