Programme Manager

London, Leeds, Glasgow or remote

We are looking for a Programme Manager for our training programmes and masterclasses.
Our work spans TV, film, animation and games sectors to support independents from the UK and beyond to grow and enable sustainable businesses.
This is great place to work with a small and innovative team.
Position is full time, for an initial six months. Salary level £30-£35k PA dependent on experience.
At Indielab, we create accelerators, masterclasses and seminars, taking place both live in the room and through our virtual platform. Our work spans the TV and content sectors to support creators from the UK and beyond to grow and enable sustainable businesses. With world-class trainers and facilitators, we're a small, innovative and empowering team.
The Programme Manager works closely with members of Indielab's senior leadership team, and plays a critical role in the development and delivery of our accelerators, masterclasses and seminars, as well as other Indielab initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the programme management of new Indielab programmes, managing timelines and event planning delivery, supporting marketing, editorial, attendee recruitment, talent booking and logistics.
• Manage these events from conception to completion including on site management and logistics, with accountability for every element.
• Implement the planning strategy for all training and events in line with best practice, to ensure structured briefings, management of timelines, adherence to budget, comprehensive delegate management and systematic evaluation of events driving continuous improvement.
• Serve as a support to Indielab's sponsorship and funding lead, engaging with new partners, supporting relationship building and bespoke delivery for a range of partners and funders.
• Collaborate with directors at Indielab to support strategic priorities, as well as ways of working together successfully.
• Establish new practices for programme management, working with the team to fine tune the programme development lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to innovate, drawing on a keen understanding of broader industry trends and insights.
• Co-ordinate website updates with sponsors/cohorts/speakers/application copy/privacy policy and Ts and Cs.
• IT support to new staff members.
• Speaker booking.
• Booking venues and catering.
• Booking travel and accommodation.
• Update contact list UK Commissioners.
• Create folders for all new Indies.
• Proof read and distribute coursebook on Padlet.

Skills and Experience:
• Three+ years experience in programme management / event management / production management.
• Proven record working as part of small teams in fast-paced events environments and managing change with flexibility.
• Experience overseeing the creation of printed and digital materials required for the marketing and delivery. Track record of successful collaboration with designers, tech and client stakeholders.
• Strong communication, curiosity and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.
• Mission-driven and keen to support and grow our community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture.
• Experience of successfully collaborating with remote or distributed teams.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment where we navigate the complexities of both scale and crafted experiences.
• Experience with delivering online and virtual events.
• Excellent spoken and written communication.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and work independently or on initiative where required.
• High level of computer experience, using core Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), as well as confidence when using new and emerging platforms.
• Ideally the candidate will have had some training in diversity and disability awareness.

Workplace Conditions:
This position will be based in the Leeds/London or Glasgow office, though we will also consider candidates who would work flexibly, part-remotely.
