Job Purpose

An entry-level position in media production to provide accurate, effective and timely production support to the team.

Works with and assists the Head of Production and Company Directors with the resourcing of shoots as appropriate. From booking the crew to sourcing props, no day will be the same! Work with the post-production team to gain an understanding of what films and projects are being produced in the edit and delivered to clients. Maintaining the Shoot the Company stills library. Being the first point of contact when clients and potential clients contact Shoot the Company by telephone with enquiries. The team assistant will work across all areas of the business to gain experience in all aspects of the film-making process.

Reporting Lines and Key Relationships
Works to the Head of Production and Company Directors.
Works with all members of the team.

Knowledge and Experience

No employed experience in the media is necessary but the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a real passion and understanding of media and entertainment, from film, to TV, to music, to web content.

Some work experience in the media or a related field would be an advantage.

A real interest in understanding and getting on with people from all backgrounds.

Good writing skills and a 'can-do' telephone manner.

Excellent administration skills. You must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft office.

A demonstrable aptitude for detail and accuracy in all areas.

Effective time management and organisational skills and the initiative to work independently.

Ability to prioritise a conflicting workload efficiently and to maintain standards of accuracy and attention to detail when working to deadlines or changing priorities.

An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Key Accountabilities

Distributes materials & information in a timely & effective manner.

Uses growing knowledge of administrative procedures to support the team.

Producing and distributing call-sheets for numerous shoots.

Completing production paperwork if necessary.

Maintenance of crew availability database.

Assimilate self into team quickly & effectively.

Manages time, prioritises effectively & re-visits to ensure follow-through where necessary.

Confident & effective communicator & quickly builds rapport with all contacts.

Demonstrates initiative & is enthusiastic about adopting new ways of working.

Ensuring that the general office space is kept neat and presentable at all times.

Booking travel and transport as required.
