Audiences get the chance to experience their favourite characters and stories in a whole new way, and with titles like Moulin Rouge!, Blade Runner and Dirty Dancing, attracting over half a million visitors in the past 5 years alone.We are looking to recruit two proactive, open-minded and energetic individuals to get the opportunity to work with both the Operations and Production teams here at Secret Cinema as a Production Runner/Receptionist for our upcoming show 'Secret Cinema Presents Grease' in Birmingham. This is an entry level role suited to someone currently studying or a recent graduate of event management, who wants to dip their toes in the production and running of large-scale site-specific events.While this role sits within the Production team, candidates will be required to work closely with the Operations teams amongst others on-site to support the safe and effective delivery of the show during rehearsals, construction, live performances, and dismantle. Tasks will involve a wide range of activities, including managing the site reception desk alongside ad hoc runs for various departments. Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in event production with great organisational, communication skills and an ability to maintain a professional approach under pressure.Key responsibilitiesPartially based in the site office; managing keys, radios, inductions register, deliveries and sign in/out processesAssisting with the induction/accreditation process for all visitors/staff members and crew on siteCreating and posting operational signage Monitoring levels of consumablesDelivering parcels to Heads of Departments on siteAd-hoc runs Supporting the Community Manager by assisting with site visits and community eventsKey Skills & ExperienceMaintaining a calm and authoritative manner during moments of high pressureAbility to look at situations holistically Excellent organisational skills and communications skillsExperience juggling multiple tasks with differing prioritiesExperience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office UK Driver's License, preferably with own carMust be local to BirminghamDesiredPrior event experienceHealth & Safety Trained, experience in a similar role Key infoStart Date: Friday 30th June 2023End Date: Friday 25th August 2023 TBCHours: Shifts vary per day (Latest 23:30 finish)Application Deadline: 30th MayInterviews Scheduled for: W/C 5th June Secret Cinema welcomes applications from all sections of society.
