The Role of Production Runner is to assist the Production department in all aspects of production across all Channel 4 channels and in all media: off air; on air; digital; interactive both in-house and on shoots. Working alongside the Production Assistants (PAs) and reporting to the Production Executive, the role will give a greater understanding of the start to end production process in a fast paced department. QualificationLevel 3 Junior Content ProducerKey Responsibilities• Support the Production Team across on/off-air and social media• Assist PAs in the checking /delivery of on-air promos for broadcast• Assist Producers/PA's with generation of call sheets / booking of post-production / cars for shoots and all other shoot production requirements• Attend location/studio shoots in runner capacity, providing production support• Organise post production bookings where required• Assist the PAs with the logging of props, and costume in line with business requirements• Assist the PAs with the archiving & logging of all project material across the business• Support the production department with the Post Production process including but not limited to; liaising with Broadcast Centre, Tape/Footage tracking, QC, delivery, Managing tape stock etc.• Liaise with Marketing, Media Planning and other areas of the business where required• When filming, longer hours and outdoor working may be required Essential attributes for a great candidate• Good basic computer literacy• Good communication skills• Good sense of initiative, ability to work independently• Good at building & supporting internal & external relationships• Ability to learn quickly and be open to instruction• Good organisational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise• Must be able to think quickly in order to respond to Production's ever changing needs• Resourceful in researching any item or topic• Keen interest in social mediaYou must be over 18 years old and a non-degree holder to be eligible to apply for this apprenticeship.
