Our Entertainment Production team manages every aspect of content production across our Entertainment Channels. They negotiate programme budgets and make sure contracts accurately reflect our rights and the editorial specification can be delivered on budget.

Your key responsibilities


As a member of the Entertainment Production team, you'll be responsible for overseeing a number of projects, working closely with the Commissioning Editors to deliver programming in line with our planned Comedy strategy, within budget and on time, whilst still meeting creative ambitions.


- Lead budget negotiations with independent production companies ensuring programmes are being set up and made so that they are able to deliver creative ambition within agreed funding
- Keep productions on budget by overseeing regular cost and progress reports; anticipating problems and advising the Head of Production/Commissioning Editors when production and budgetary issues arise
- Act as point of contact both internally and externally
- Provide information and support to Head of Production, Comedy, Commissioning Editors and Sky Entertainment department
- Maintain effective relationships with internal Sky stakeholders including Business Affairs, Legal, Finance, Strategy, Press and Marketing and working closely with them across all projects
- Ensure delivery of Production Team projects such as diversity objectives and sustainable production targets


Your skills


- Excellent knowledge of all areas of scripted TV production process, with strong financial and negotiating skills ideally gained through experience of working on production as Line Producer, Production Manager, Production Accountant or Production Exec
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work efficiently and accurately across multiple projects
- Good knowledge of current industry agreements e.g. Equity, WGGB
- Good communication skills with ability to work effectively with both external production companies and internal Sky stakeholders
- Happy to operate with a flexible approach and an ability to adapt quickly to change in a busy environment
