We are now seeking a Production Manager to join our Sport Production Manager team.

Role Responsibility
The successful candidate will professionally manage a slate of Football productions from preparation for green light through to delivery using specialist production management skills, knowledge and experience, reporting to a Head of Production.

You will work with two Production Managers across the Football portfolio and in partnership with editorial colleagues to deliver the outstanding, distinctive, multi-platform content that BBC Sport is renowned for, by providing the ways to realise editorial ambitions within operational and financial constraints.

The role will bring effective leadership to production management staff on the production(s) and play a key role in maintaining a professional pan-BBC production management community.

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a talented individual with a considerable knowledge of Live, Content and Highlights programmes and an interest in digital consumption , with experience of studios and outside broadcasts.You will be confident managing relationships , working with key stakeholders from The Premier League to Sky, Dock 10 and The Farm.You will have demonstrable working knowledge of end-to-end production, being jointly accountable with editorial colleagues for a variety of aspects including compliance with BBC policies and managing the operational performance of the production(s).

The ideal candidate will shape and plan productions, manage and deliver them whilst planning and managing the productions finances.You will be required to embrace BBC Sport objectives to deliver new audiences, digital output and multi-platform , coupled with experience of encouraging and supporting creativity, innovation and diversity within teams.

You will be an experienced Manager and enjoy developing the skills of your Production Management team. You will be a confident communicator and able to liaise with a range of Producers, On Air talent, suppliers and Host Broadcasters and collaborate with the other Production Managers within Sport and across BBC North.

A real interest in sport is beneficial to enable efficient running of the output.
