About Media Zoo and the Role

Are you a born organiser and team player? Would you love to work within an incredibly fast-paced, creative, and enriching environment?

Media Zoo is one of the UK's leading video content agencies. We are the only UK company to have won both the Grand Prix Award at Cannes and the Grand at the New York Festivals Awards.

We are seeking an experienced and established Production Manager to join our team of filmmakers.

As part of this role, you will be working closely with the Senior Production Management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. In addition to working with our permanent in-house team you'll also be in regular contact with freelance producers, directors, and editors to make sure that our most exciting film projects are resourced with the best talent.

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, spots opportunities for growth, and identifies areas where processes could be streamlined. You will also be asked to deliver regular reports to the Senior Production Manager on the financial performance on your projects.

Media Zoo is at a hugely exciting stage and the Production Manager is a key member of the team who will be part of an exciting journey as we expand.

This is an interesting and varied role that requires a pro-active, capable individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can remain calm under pressure.

The Essentials

A strong production management background, with experience across a broad range of output along with a demonstrable knowledge of end-to-end production workflows.
Extensive experience of creating and managing budgets and production schedules, both small and large.
Proficient at reconciling and wrapping production budgets during and on completion of the project.
Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders, managing expectations and handling changing requirements and schedules.
An ability to collaborate with other departments in the business to evaluate incoming briefs and develop budgets in line with the proposals.
An ability to ensure that projects have the ideal resources needed at each stage for successful completion.
An ability to appraise the status of projects, identify issues before they become problems and come up with appropriate solutions.

Confidence in managing international shoots; arranging permits and carnets, sourcing, hiring and negotiating with freelancers and facilities.
A proven ability to work within budget and tight schedules to ensure delivery is on time.
