Overview
Oversee the production and operational needs of specific programmes within ITV News which could be in news operations, long form current affairs programmes or special event programming.

Responsibilities
Oversee all elements of a production where required including managing the budget, and ensuring the productions run smoothly and stay on schedule and on budget.
Work closely with and discuss production ideas with senior team members
Hires production team, including freelance crew, producers, editors, make up, graphics
Develop and maintain production budgets and schedules including regular cost reporting to the Operations and Finance Director
Meet regularly with different department heads to ensure they are meeting the production budget and schedule
Make changes to the budget and schedule as required, such as rescheduling filming and shoots
Negotiates costs with suppliers
Approve locations, equipment, and other necessary resources
Ensure the production complies with health and safety regulations, union requirements, copyright laws, and insurance terms
Obtain any necessary approvals and risk assessment reports
Supervise production team, including production coordinators if applicable or any other production staffers
Handle any insurance issues which arise during the course of the production
