Job Title: Production ManagerDepartment: ProductionReports to: Head of ProgrammesResponsible for: Production Coordinators and Production AssistantsContract Type: 12 month fixed term contractHours: 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends when required)Salary: Dependent on experiencePurpose of Role:To ensure that productions run smoothly, meet deadlines and stay within budget. The Production Manager is responsible for all organisational aspects of production scheduling and budgeting.Main Responsibilities:• Organise and be responsible for delivery of content to a variety of platforms and broadcasters.• To be the contact point between the editorial side and technical operation.• Liaise regularly with the clients, ensuring content delivery mechanisms are working, and all necessary support is given.• Capture all costs and provide regular feedback to the Head of Programmes and programme Producers regarding budgets.• Work closely alongside the Head of Programmes detailing cost effective ways to deliver and improve services.• Work with the Production department looking at better ways of organising, scheduling and using the team.• Ensure that all necessary licences and clearances have been obtained for a production (complying with corresponding regulations and agreements in other countries, if applicable).• Keep up-to-date with current relevant legislation, regulations, and associated procedures, including copyright, data protection, public liability, health and safety, working hours, duty of care, UK broadcaster regulations etc. and how to comply with regulatory requirements.• Undertake additional duties, and head up other contracts, as and when they are assigned.Person SpecificationEssential criteria:3 - 5 years' experience in a senior-level Production Coordinator role or a junior-level Production Manager roleAn understanding of the technical processes involved in television production, including camera, lighting, sound and editingAbility to work effectively, and with diplomacy and sensitivityStrong IT skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong budgeting and financial skillsExcellent organisational skillsAbility to conceptualise ideasStrong problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and have a methodical approach to workAdvanced analytical skillsKnowledge of post-production work flowAn interest in sportsDeadline for position: Friday 26th May 2017Applicants must have existing Right to Work in the UK.Please attach a CV and cover letter to your application.If you do not receive a response within 14 working days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.We are an Equal Opportunities employer and aim to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of any protected characteristic.
