Production Manager

London

Blanchard House is looking for a Production Manager to join our award-winning team. This role serves as the central point of coordination for the company's logistical, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our creative production team. We need someone who is highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Most importantly, they will be a collegiate team member who actively contributes to nurturing our company's culture and realising our creative vision.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a similar role, with a strong ability to manage operations, track finances, and support a busy production environment. They will also have a love for audio and an active interest in the evolving landscape of the podcast industry.

Role & Responsibilities

Financial & Administrative Management

Manage invoicing, expenses, and payroll reconciliation, working closely with CEO and accountant for financial reporting.

Support Head of Content and Managing Producer in all aspects of production administration.

Track and report real-time production costs to support budgeting, staffing and strategic decision-making.

Maintain proper documentation for legal, contractual, and reporting obligations, including project contracts, NDAs and compliance filings.

Compile, organise, and submit administrative, legal, and reporting requirements including expense and audit reports to our clients.

Production Operations

Oversee production schedules and timelines, working alongside the production team to ensure the smooth running of multiple complex productions.

Closely manage and communicate ongoing costs, both administrative and production, working with leadership to ensure measured and sustainable expenditure.

Coordinate production logistics including planning and booking travel arrangements and managing contributor compliance paperwork.

Oversee inventory and equipment logistics, ensuring all production assets are well-managed and maintained, including supporting the team with purchasing and shipping of recording hardware and software.

Ensure production workflows are structured and maintained to maximise our performance.

Maintain content archiving systems.

Office & Team Coordination

Work with senior leadership on staff and contractor hiring and management. Facilitate appraisals and team support.

Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health & Safety, GDPR, and general staff guidelines.

Oversee office operations, including deliveries, supplier coordination, and office events.

Help identify areas for process improvement to enhance workflow and efficiency.
