The Role We are seeking a Production Manager to work within our busy and ever-expanding production team. You will work with the Head of Video to ensure the smooth running of the Department and will be involved in overseeing the sourcing and booking of freelancers, coordinating location and shoot permissions as well as overseeing the Production Coordinator from a developmental and operations perspective.Your key responsibilities will be;• Supporting the Head of Video with the smooth running of the department• Representing the Moving Image team at the Management Team meetings and following up on any work required for those meetings • Updating the Moving Image team with any company developments from the Management Team and helping to support the team to adapt new ways of working• Managing the work of Production Coordinators to ensure consistency and accuracy and supporting their development. • Ensuring all productions comply with legal and Health and safety requirements and consulting our H&S provider if necessary• Overseeing production schedules • Oversee/action the booking of all freelance staff and equipment in collaboration with the production team.• Overseeing the production of call sheets, H&S documents and other relevant information for all shoots. Taking a proactive approach and working with Producers on these documents. Dealing directly with clients during productions.• Scheduling for shoots in collaboration with the production team • Department administration tasks including keeping the Smyle server and project management system (Basecamp) up to date with bookings and project specific information• Resourcing and staff planning for new roles both freelance and full time. Keeping Salesforce contacts up to date• Supporting the onboarding of new staff and inducting them if necessary• Ensuring all required paperwork and administration tasks are completed as each production requires• Assisting with the smooth running of all projectsSo, what will this role require......?• You will be incredibly organised, task and detailed driven with a positive attitude and desire to succeed within a fast paced, dynamic and creative team.• You will need previous experience in a production manager role with great knowledge of the video production process, use of video production equipment as well as knowledge of setting up video shoots. • An eye for detail will be a must as a lot of the role requires high accuracy and attention to detail• Project management skills will be key as you will be required to manage multiple projects at any one time • Great communication skills will be core to the role as well as maintaining a professional attitude at all times• You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experience in using MAC OS.
