Production Manager

Soho, Central London
Up to 6 month FTC contract

We are looking for a Production Manager with a significant experience in high volume, quick turn-around TV productions to join the team at Diagonal View for a 6 month contract, where we're working on a number of different archive and clip based formats.

You'll be: an experienced Production Manager who has PM credits on both entertainment and factual shows; meticulously organised, and have an ability to manage / influence colleagues within each production unit. You think logically, stick closely to budgets and work to tight deadlines, and you'll have a good understanding of broadcast compliance (both editorial and technical).

This role has the potential to become a permanent position within the 6 month term.

Your key responsibilities

Production 1 (In-production) - 52 x 22mins (clip show format)
• Manage day-to-day production stages and maintain the production schedule (tracking progress).
• Work with the producer to manage the production teams time, to our current workflow.
• Plan and implement changes to our production workflow where necessary.
• Manage the production budget, budget tracking, production expenses and supplier invoicing.
• Manage onlining and delivering of all episodes and deliverables according to our clients technical specification.
• Manage record keeping for contributor licenses and supplier agreements.
• Oversee media management, storage and backing up.
• Work with our client to ensure all their expectations are met to a high standard.

Production 2 (In-development) - (archive show format)
• Budget planning.
• Plan production workflow and production schedule.
• Source suppliers.
• Recruitment.
• Eventually PM this production through piloting and full production.

Your skills
• Experienced Production Manager; managing teams, budgets, schedules, licenses, deliverables and workflows.
• Plenty of relevant credits within TV.
• Excellent time and people management skills; on behalf of yourself and the production team.
• Able to influence creatives.
• Ability to motivate colleagues.
• Familiarity with industry codecs, compression software, and all forms of deliverables associated with TV production for international broadcasters.
• Proficiency in Mac-based systems.
• Experience in quick turnaround environment, with a hands-on / can do mentality.

About us
Diagonal View is a specialist at building huge, engaged communities around digital content (both our own and brands channels). We are a digital production studio in Central London, creating over 500 videos per month for our 12+ channels (recently acquired by Sky). Our Channel Management division helps to grow the digital audiences for over 30 clients. We have access to a network of talent and advise brands on how best to use influencers by marrying them the right talent for their objectives, budgets and audience. We're now branching out into broadcast production with a significant commission already secured and plans to produce over 50 hours of linear TV in the next year.
