This is an opportunity to join a small Production Management team working across production projects for Comedy Central UK and International and MTV UK and International. Reporting into the VP of Production Management and Business Affairs, this role plays a pivotal role in delivering on all aspects of programme production, which includes: all types of genres (reality, scripted etc..) , studios and location, live and to-tape, single and multi-camera, and all aspects of programme post production, including editing, graphics, shooting and crews. This role will also line manage 1 Production Coordinator, 1 Intern & Freelance production crew.Responsibilities include:-To keep P&L and cost manager's up-to-date and accurate and report month end figures and current spendCreate internal content budgets and analyse external budgets. Report and secure sign off from the VP of Production Management and Business AffairsNegotiate development contracts and long form contracts with support from the VP of Production Management and Business Affair. To work closely with the production department and advise on the appropriate resources and budget to achieve the aims of each programme or event.Prepare project budgets and ensure Production Executives, VP and Finance are kept informed of budget statusNegotiate rates and deals with external freelancers and vendorsManage production management freelancers as required ensuring performance is monitored and they are developed and motivated to achieve high results.To liase with the finance department to ensure that financial information is accurately reported and to ensure that all financial matters are dealt with, including vendor selection & set-up, purchase order accruals and paymentsTo ensure that all internal paperwork required is completed for before production (CAF sign off, Health & Safety checks, Financial checks, P/O raised etc)To oversee petty cash and float expense for Production and EventsTo oversee freelance production management staff's monthly cost reportingLiaise with relevant internal departments in order to deliver projects successfully across all departments and to save money and conserve resourcesUnderstand the business rationale and gain awareness of commercial issues influencing and affecting the businessUpdate regularly the department's administrative spreadsheets and production management bible.To be across any new industry advances and best practices. Communicate any information to the team and to the VP.Role specific skills:-Extensive experience with all aspects of programme production, which includes: all types of genres (reality, scripted etc..) , studios and location, live and to-tape, single and multi-camera, and all aspects of programme post production, including editing, graphics, shooting and crews.Experience of managing a small production management team - Effectively motivating and developing staff to achieve high outputsExperience of budget creation, execution and managementExperience of solving complex problems Commercially focused, with the ability to act as a business partner with Production and other internal departmentsAdvanced excel skillsAssertive and able to achieve desired resultsOrganised and planned approach to workStrong communications and relationship management skillsHighly numerateHigh attention to detail
