Production Manager

Brighton based Pier Productions, a major supplier of factual and drama productions to BBC Radio, is looking for a Production Manager. We need a self starter who can manage all the practical aspects of a complex slate of programmes, in a busy office, including setting up productions, booking studios and engineers, liaising with Radio 4 Scheduling, sourcing and clearing archive, managing budgets, negotiating with agents, managing health and safety, booking travel and hotels and looking after all aspects of programme delivery including all pre and post production paperwork. There will also be a requirement to work on the Company's Television out put from time to time and to help manage the development process in both television and radio.

The candidate will also be required to act as an assistant to the Managing Director, look after the practical day to day running of the office and studios and as part of a small team to assist where necessary with catering and general office duties.

The applicant should have an awareness and knowledge of Radio 4 output as well as proven experience of working in a media environment. An awareness of copyright and business affairs issues is also desirable.

Hours 9.30 - 18.00 Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,000 offered initially on a six month contract with a month's trial
