Production Manager (Online Courses)

London

Role Purpose:
Christie's Education is accredited regionally by the Open University and the New York State Board of Regents to provide opportunities for study at Postgraduate level. It also provides continuing education opportunities on location and online

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the production of a portfolio of online programmes, many of which will be designed in conjunction with the Auction and Business Development functions of Christie's. The post holder will collaborate with the Creative Director, the Programme Director for Online Programmes and the Production Assistant to ensure that the programmes are delivered on budget, on time and to the required quality and standard.

On occasion the production may be required to support other video and film content beyond the online programmes.

Key Accountabilities:
Planning and Execution
• Supervise the production process from end to end including:
• Creating production schedule for each course
• Creating budget for approval
• Tracking budget throughout and control spending
• Negotiating costs with suppliers
• Booking resources, locations, equipment and supplies, working within an agreed budget
• Arranging travel and accommodation for all contributors and film crew
• Arranging all logistics for shoot locations including refreshments, booking hair and makeup, etc.
• Arranging shoot locations
• Hiring crew and contractors
• Booking recording studios
• Keeping records of all parties who will be contributing to the programmes, tracking fees, managing budget, ensuring that providers are paid
• Health and safety and risk assessment of locations
• Dealing with problems as they arise
• Organizing voiceover recordings
• Arranging for translations of scripts and recordings
• Arranging subtitles
• Uploading collaterals to CANVAS
• Ensuring platform is running smoothly, in collaboration with IT support
• Ensuring that digital badging is working smoothly
• Working with IT and Digital Strategy Director on the content management systems supporting the programmes
• Arranging for release forms as required
• Securing copyright approval where necessary
• Overseeing acknowledgements
• Securing biographies and permissions
• Ensuring paper certificates are sent to students if requested
• Ensuring that the repeat schedules for the courses are posted online

Management & Communication
• Attend planning meetings
• Schedule own workload and timetable in conjunction with the Christie's Education team, ensuringclarity of objectives and scheduling requirements are clearly understood.
• Ensure that both the faculty and the administration teams are kept informed on a regular and timely basis on online program activity and performance, and that they are supplied with the information they need to support the online programmes
• Manage day to day relationships with content developers in the production phase.
• Support all external providers with their inter-company relationships.

Measurement
• Provide regular reports on the production process
• Report on budget and any variances

Teamwork
• Contribute to a strong team ethic within the production team and between the production team and Christie's Education staff, but communicating status of programmes clearly and regularly, sorting out any problems that arise, sharing information in a transparent manner.

Marketing and Communication
• Work with the creative director, online programme director and production assistant to agree timeline and marketing delivery and deployment for each course

Networking and Business Development
• Track the main online programme providers and share relevant with the marketing team.

Enhancing Christie's Education brand
• Represent Christie's Education across the rest of the Christie's group and externally
