Production Management Assistant

Role Responsibility
You will report to the Line Producer and Production Coordinators.
A Casualty PMA provides administrative support for the production during various stages of the process and is responsible for the smooth running of the production office, acting as a key point of contact whilst always ensuring compliance or escalating any issues promptly with BBC policies and guidelines, in order to minimise the BBC's exposure to risk.
This vital production role also supports the production management team using specialist skills, such as working in a studio, working on location and planning/coordinating background action where necessary.

Your duties will include -
Support the production with diary management, booking travel and accommodation, stock ordering for both office needs and other technical departments, booking and recording training requirements
Responsible for resolving a range of diverse operational issues within the role, escalating to the Production Co-ordinator or Line Manager where necessary
Maintains a safe and healthy working environment at all times, escalating any issues or areas of concern
Contributing to, and helping to implement, practical actions to reduce environmental impact throughout production
To help maintain all production office functions and systems to include, but not limited to, office equipment and filing systems
Gather and distribute shoot documents for the production to include shooting schedules, crew, cast and contact lists
Assist with the compilation and distribution of the daily call sheets and collate all the relevant information for the daily progress reports

The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following -
Proven experience of providing secretarial and administrative support to others within a pressurised Drama Production office
Experience of diary management, booking travel and accommodation
Experience of dealing with range of individuals, including actors
Awareness of multi-platform production/content
Experience of being able to use I.T. systems and adopt new technologies
Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of contacts
Experience of working in a pressurised and challenging environment
Demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills and manages conflicting demands to meet deadlines
Ability to use own initiative with confidence, using judgement to escalate where necessary
Able to consider and propose new ways of working to improve existing processes
Demonstrates business and finance skills - able to understand and work with budgets
Accurate and effective written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail
Knowledge of BBC Drama Productions, especially Casualty
