Production Management Assistant

London

BBC Studios is a global creative powerhouse for the development, production and distribution of bold, British, content. We produce over 2,500 hours of content per year, operate in 22 markets globally and generate revenue of £1.4bn, returning around £200m profit to BBC public Service each year. In the UK, BBC Studios enables audiences to enjoy their favourite BBC programmes and brands outside the licence fee-funded window on alternative platforms, through a range of partnerships, and in multiple formats, from products and magazines to events and experiences.

BBC Studios EMEA Creative works across Holland, Belgium, Poland, Middle East, the Nordics and Africa. We are continuously launching channels and producing 360 broadcast, social and digital campaigns for these territories. Our channels include BBC First, Earth, CBeebies, Lifestyle and Brit. We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Management Assistant to join our team.

This role is integral to the EMEA Creative team and will provide technical and administrative support to the Production Co-ordinators, deliver transmission material and assist with the operational running of the team.

Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide technical and administrative support to the Creative team, including media management, whilst also assisting the Production Co-coordinator and Creative's in the delivery of all projects.

You will act as the main point of contact for all external and internal stakeholders. You will act as the lynchpin between Compliance, Creative and Marketing, ensuring all necessary approvals are completed. You will liaise with Creatives, working into the Co-ordinators and senior production staff.

You will assist in the processes of fully and accurately capturing and managing metadata in line with BBC guidelines and policies. You'll be responsible for collating accurate information required for ensuring all deliverables are available in a timely manner to fulfil the commission and that post production documentation is complete and accurate.

You will proactively look for ways of improving efficiencies within a production environment. You will have the opportunity to assist if there are shoots and provide cover for Production Coordinators when required.

You will be required to attend all voiceover sessions. You'll produce TX logs for edits and audio sessions and accurately enter transmission details into the scheduling database. In addition to this, you will create and manage files and maintain the organisation of the shared drive and ensure that all material received is filed correctly.

Additionally, your contribution to ad hoc projects will be required, along with maintenance of the media library and archiving system.

Are you the right candidate?
At BBC Studios, we seek people who are passionate about who we are and what we do.

The successful candidate will have a background in media and demonstrate an interest in the BBC and the wider broadcasting industry. You will demonstrate a passion for production and media. You will have experience of using post-production software, equipment and understanding procedures for basic self-shooting and editing. Knowledge and experience using Adobe Premiere Pro is essential.

Familiarity with a broadcast environment and knowledge of a variety of media formats would be beneficial, along with a knowledge of reformatting digital files into different specs. You will possess the ability to use systems and adopt new technologies.

You'll be confident at forming and maintaining partnerships across the business, working effectively with a variety of stakeholders. You'll demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have strong attention to detail. In this fast-paced environment, you'll be organised, able to plan and be adept at managing conflicting demands, delivering to deadline to ensure that targets are met.

You'll demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and sound judgement and have a can-do attitude. You will have an understanding of business and finance skills, with the ability to understand and work with budgets. You will have the confidence to assess our ways of workings and create and explain possible improvements to existing processes.

Experience of working in a multilanguage environment would be advantageous.
