We are currently looking for an experienced Electrician to join our Production team on our long running, award winning drama Hollyoaks. The successful candidate will be able to rig, de-rig, operate, maintain and store lighting equipment safely on set and on location. They will be confident in working with different power supplies including 3 phase and generators as well as aspects of power connection. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 Electrician qualification in or equivalent
Electrical qualification - 17th Edition Health and Safety certificate
Experience of production lighting
Experience of working within a single camera drama (broadcast) environment
Good working knowledge of production electrical equipment, tools, techniques and practices
Flexible approach to work and working hours
Excellent practical awareness of Health and Safety issues pertaining to role


Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to interpret instructions and complete them in a professional, timely manner
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
Knowledge of set and location Production
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
Good manual handling skills (including physical ability to undertake full range of duties)
Good standard of physical fitness as certain aspects of the job are physically demanding.
Contract: 12 months fixed term
