Production Designer

Kent, UK

We are looking for a Production Designer and a small Art Department crew for a Supernatural Thriller feature film for the last two weeks of January.

This feature film will take an innovative and unconventional approach to the Supernatural Thriller genre and will rehearse and shoot in one location in Kent.

Writer/Director David Holroyd made innovative feature film WMD in 2009, which The Guardian gave three stars and called "Enterprising and undeniably gripping". WMD is represented by Independent Film Sales and has been sold to multiple territories. David has directed over 40 hours of TV drama and his latest Supernatural Thriller script was recently optioned by Corona Pictures.

Whilst this is a deferred fee job, Per Diems and travel to Kent will be paid. The advantage of this is that the film can be fully funded by the production company, allowing all crew to be paid on a Pari Parsu basis, i.e. all profit is split between cast and crew. There are no extra investors or fat cats to pay off first.

This is going to be a small team and small, fast, production that needs only two weeks. Budgets are limited, but the amount of work you will need to do is not overwhelming as the location is almost perfectly dressed already. One build and some set dressing are the main tasks. People who have worked on TV dramas with fast schedules would be perfect. We will need people who can pull their weight whilst having fun. No screaming egos here. We have deliberately scheduled this shoot for when most of the industry is quiet. Director, DOP and all HODS are very experienced.

Basically if you are free in the last two weeks of January and you are looking for the next credit up on a fun project we would like to hear from you.
