The Production Coordinator at ITN will work within the technology department and will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical operations and production teams. This position is responsible for ensuring seamless technical execution of projects, maintaining production schedules, and coordinating across departments to meet deadlines. Additionally, the role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and financial oversight to optimise production outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of live production understanding, organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.Key Responsibilities: Production Coordination:Participate in and provide support for large special events, such as Royal Events and other high-profile productionsCollaborate with the production and technology teams to ensure all technical requirements are met for live and recorded productions.Oversee and coordinate studio production projectsMaintain all health and safety documentation across studios and galleries at ITNPlanning & Budgeting:Assist in resource allocation and planning to ensure efficient utilisation of staff and technical resourcesMonitor budgets related to production and technical operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraintsCommunication & Collaboration:Act as a liaison between production, editorial, and technical teams to align goals and expectationsProvide clear documentation of technical workflows and standard operating proceduresLiaise with studio production teams, technical staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and execution of project specificationsThese are the main requirements of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties. It is intended to reflect the nature, range, and context of the work, which will change over time.Key Requirements Proven experience in a similar role within a media, broadcasting, or technology environmentStrong understanding of production workflows and technical operationsExcellent organisational and multitasking skillsProficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solvingStrong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with live broadcasting or streaming platformsExperience in financial planning and budget managementExcellent knowledge of studio production systems and technical workflowsWork Environment:Based at ITN headquarters with potential for on-location support as required.Occasional evening or weekend work depending on production schedules.
