We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our core team for a five-month full time contract position. Ideally we would like to start this position on late November 2019 - however this is flexible. There is also potential for contract extension.As the Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the production office but will also be a key contact point for Scene Leaders. Due to the scale of the production, you will also be responsible for supervising a collection of scenes during the show run.Roles and responsibilities* Ensure smooth running of the production office* Assist the Show Producer and Directors with research, build planning, and rehearsals* Manage and delegate tasks to Production Assistants* Supervise and act as a key contact point for Scene Leaders* Communicate schedules and information across the production cast and crew* Manage relationships with suppliers ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time* Management and handling of petty cash* Manage the receipts and payments from the production's various secondary revenue streams (bar, merchandise, etc)To do this job well, you will need to be:* At least 3 years prior experience as a Production Coordinator or similar role* An ambitious and resourceful person that enjoys big problems and the challenge of resolving them.* Extremely resourceful and expert at people wrangling* Organised and can balance several projects simultaneously* Diligent at tracking expenses and tasks with a keen eye for detail* Trustworthy and have previously held positions where you were handling online payments and cash* Strong organizational and planning skills* Proficient in the MS Office suite* Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures* Highly organised, resourceful, and efficient with a keen eye for detail.* Able to foster good working relationships with a range of different types of people from different backgrounds and experience levels.* Be able to prioritise tasks and work in high pressure conditions* Occasionally work 12-15 hours per day (while loading in and during build) and be prepared to work hours required to deliver the build on schedule.* Passionate about delivering impactful art The following skills and experience may be advantageous, so make sure you mention it in your application: * Project management of complex multi-disciplinary projects.* Any experience delivering realistic, immersive, site-specific theatre.* Technical knowledge of set building or construction management.
