WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

In 2017, Perform and the WTA created WTA Media, a joint venture until 2026 whereby Perform own and manage the broadcast rights of 47 WTA tournaments worldwide.

WTA Media oversees all the global production and distribution of 47 events on the WTA calendar and are the host broadcast at 24 tournaments as well as responsible for the World Feed production and delivery of content from the other 23 tournaments.

The commitment to the WTA and broadcasters is to provide coverage of all main draw singles matches, and some doubles with consistent high-quality production and branding. In addition, WTA Media manages the commentary from all singles matches, a daily news feed including bespoke interviews and match highlights, the WTA magazine programme, a 26" highlights show from the major tournaments, a Player Profile Documentary series, features and key digital content.

HERE'S YOUR ROLE BROKEN DOWN (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)

WTA Media are looking for a Production Co-Ordinator who has experience in scheduling live content and post-production requirements. The role will work closely with the WTA Media Content team based out of Feltham to assist with the planning and delivery of both the WTA's live and non-live output.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented team working on an exciting international sports production which is constantly evolving and working with some of the biggest broadcast clients in the world. You will be the vital touch point between Production Management and the Content Team when it comes to staff and resource scheduling.

The role will involve managing the content team's travel logistics and working closely with the Producers to ensure that all shifts are covered by either staff or freelancers and the team are updated with any changes to the schedule.

You will schedule all post-production requirements for the team, working closely with the Producers to ensure we get the balance right when using our production facilities in Feltham. This will see you communicating with the post-production management team and the media management team at Perform on a daily basis.

The role will also see you take ownership of the commentary schedule, forming a point of contact for the Content Team and our commentary delivery team to ensure every WTA match is covered. You will work with the Producers to find the right combination of commentators for each tournament and keep across changes as they happen in the schedule to ensure the correct bookings and payments are submitted and that they are all kept within budget.

You will be required to liaise with clients, both the WTA and broadcasters, with regards to approvals of costs associated with any additional requests they may have. You'll be required to fill out variation orders and keep organized records of costs and what has been approved and delivered to our clients.
The right candidate must be confident in their organizational skills and in handling a number of concurrent tasks including managing equipment resources and arranging applicable filming permits for International production. They should have exceptional interpersonal skills as this role will see them collaborating with a number of internal and external departments to deliver the product and allow efficient management of staff and facilities in accordance with production and delivery specifications.

There may also be some opportunity for UK and International travel if the role requires work to be carried out on location.
The WTA Media Production Co-Ordinator for Content will work on and be responsible for:
· Scheduling staff and facilities across all live production projects, including booking freelancers, commentators rotas, and staff rotas. (40%)
· Liaising with the OB team, graphics, post-production facilities and MCR teams to ensure tournaments have the correct level of staffing and support. (20%)
· Working with the production management and producers to ensure that all production requirements for each show/event are met including equipment and relevant permits and visas. (20%)
· Liaising with clients on additional requests, approvals and connected paperwork to be passed on to producers and production management. (20%)

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?

· Previous experience of working in the live and post production environment.
· Good knowledge of production processes and broadcast criteria for both live and non-live output.
· Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues on all levels, identifying the right level of support at all stages.
· Organised and structured work approach in order to determine priorities and set efficient schedules.
