Production Coordinator

Dublin

Brown Bag Films is looking for an experienced Production Coordinator to work on one of our exciting projects!

This is a short-term contract on a busy show, so we require someone who can hit the ground running. This could be ideal for someone in between gigs, or perhaps seeking an opportunity to move from live action and dip their toe into the animation sector.

The role will be remote until we return to onsite working, therefore you should have existing right to work in Ireland and be open to relocating to allow for onsite working if so required.

About the role:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator works as part of the production team, focusing on cross-department interactions that ensure smooth and efficient processes for Production.

Other responsibilities include;

- Assisting with script breakdown and asset creation where required, ensuring completion for visual kick-off.
- Driving the visual kick-off meeting, ensuring thorough preparation, chairing the discussion, and implementing follow-up notes and cleaning up of assets in asset tracking system (Shotgun).
- Leading asset maintenance in Shotgun; reviewing and sense-checking the asset build schedule against priorities, needs and advising on changes.
- Preparing the playlist for and conducting dailies review sessions to drive the approval of artists' submissions; prioritising content for Art Directors, following-up, sending revision notes and tracking outcomes.
- Coordinating the schedule of notes and approvals for the Art Director, ensuring focus and on time delivery.
- Managing shipments; Liaising with Leads on the CG team ensuring all assets are ready; Coordinating notes completion from key contributors; Ensuring all required materials for shipment are completed on time; Conducting prep call and launching package to overseas team.
- Managing in-house animation requirements and technical task management.
- Tracking overseas ticketing during animation and managing technical queries with CG proactively and in a timely manner.
- Organising and leading episodic technical review meetings for internal and overseas, generating follow up notes and ensuring completion.
- Weekly dashboard (BART) reporting to enable the submission of the weekly client status report.

Role requirements;

Knowledge

- Good understanding of schedules and deadlines; project management techniques.

Experience

- 1+ years' TV or feature film production experience (animation/CG a distinct advantage) at Coordinator level.
- Experienced in database work and maintaining tracking documents.
- Strong organisational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be comfortable working to tight deadlines.

Technical skills

- Microsoft Office, in particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Practical use of Photoshop and Acrobat.
- Working knowledge of FTP software.
- Ability to use asset tracking software e.g. Autodesk's Shotgun.
