Production Coordinator - Whisper Cymru

Whisper Cymru are looking for a Production Coordinator to join us to work on a new factual series for S4C. The post would suit somebody who has factual or documentary experience and fast turn around schedules. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in coordinating complex shoots, booking travel & crew, good prior knowledge of rights & music clearance; post produc-tion paperwork & archive clearance, have the ability work on their own initiative whilst being confident about when to refer up.

Key Responsibilities:
• Providing direct support to the Production Management team, assisting with the communication of key production information to Producers and the editorial team
• Planning shoots (including overseas) and booking crews and travel arrangements
• Producing complex call sheets with accurate and detailed movement orders
• Scheduling shoots and edits; often juggling key personnel time with diverse requirements
• Maintaining accurate financial records; reporting any budgetary issues
• Co-ordinating post production requirements (including edit schedules and client approvals pro-cess) and delivery specifications for multiple projects
• Experience of completing post production paperwork and a basic understanding of music & ar-chive clearance
• Understanding of Health and Safety policies

Skills and Experience:
• Welsh Speaker Preferable
• At least 1 years' experience working in production as a Production Co-ordinator
• Comfortable working in a busy ever-changing environment within production team
• Good communication skills and an aptitude to learn new tasks as well as a strong team ethic
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Basic budgeting skills
• Excellent IT skills; knowledge of a range of software packages
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse team including the ability to manage up and provide positive and effective support to the editorial
• A proactive attitude to work and promoting a positive work ethic in the team
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to react quickly to project changes
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and new systems

Location: The base for this position is Cardiff, Wales, with some working on location in North Wales.

Working Days: This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement. Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week. Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production re-quirements.

Start: Mid August- Mid November- 3 months FTC
