Production Co-ordinator

Whisper Cymru are looking for a Production Coordinator to join us to work on our ongoing slate. The post would suit somebody who has live & factual experience and is used to working to fast turnaround schedules.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in coordinating complex shoots, booking travel & crew, good prior knowledge of rights & music clearance; post production pa-perwork & archive clearance, have the ability work on their own initiative whilst being confident about when to refer up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing direct support to the Production Management team, assisting with the communication of key production information to Producers and the editorial team
• Planning shoots (including overseas) and booking crews and travel arrangements
• Producing complex call sheets with accurate and detailed movement orders
• Scheduling shoots and edits; often juggling key personnel time with diverse requirements
• Maintaining accurate financial records; reporting any budgetary issues
• Coordinating post production requirements (including edit schedules and client approvals process) and delivery specifications
• Experience of completing post production paperwork and a basic understanding of music & archive clearance
• Understanding of Health and Safety policies

Skills and Experience:

• At least one years' experience working in production as a Production Coordinator
• Experience setting up shoots with fast turnaround rushes
• Comfortable working in a busy ever-changing environment within production team
• Experience of dealing with logistics for filming abroad including visa applications and carnets
• Good communication skills and an aptitude to learn new tasks as well as a strong team ethic
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Basic budgeting skills
• Excellent IT skills; knowledge of a range of software packages
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
• Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse team including the abil-ity to manage up and provide positive and effective support to the editorial
• A proactive attitude to work and promoting a positive work ethic in the team
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to react quickly to project changes
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and new systems

Location:
The base for this position is Whisper Cymru offices in Cardiff

Working Days:
5 day week, x4 days in office and x1 day WFH.
This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement.
Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.
Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.
