Job SpecificationPosition: Production/Post-Production Assistant in Educational film production departmentStart Date: Late January 2010 - Initial 3 month contract with the intention to extend.Key SkillsGood communication - especially on phone and at interpreting written instructions. Self-motivation, organisation and good team-working ability. Attention to detail, particularly in writing and AV quality assessment. Responsible and reliable.An interest in factual production.Job Specification:Assisting Producers and Associate ProducersInternal and external facility and equipment bookings Booking contributors and locations for film shoots Setting up and running production schedulesProviding production support for freelance Directors and Editors Maintaining working relationships with key production contacts at the OU/BBC Maintaining responsibility for updating production paperwork including:A/V asset lists, post production scripts and Programme as Completed forms Manage deliveries of AV deliverables to clientsExperienceMust have some production experience, but not necessarily in educational documentary.
