Production Assistant

London

We're looking for an experienced Production Assistant to join the Catsnake team to support the production of a number of upcoming projects. The position will be on a short term contract, likely to last until October 2018, on a rolling weekly basis, but with the potential to extend further.

We are a small team who make videos and tell stories for a living. A large amount of our work is for charities and non-profit making organisations, with some corporate work thrown in for good measure. You can check out some of our back catalogue here: www.catsnake.com.

We have a number of exciting projects of varying scales about to kick off, so we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team and get stuck in asap. The role is full-time, typically Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, although may shift around based on shoots and other productions. The majority of the role is based in our office in Somerset House, although will occasionally include attending film shoots.

The role is paid at the Living Wage, £70p/d.

The Production Assistant will provide general support to the production team in planning and managing film productions, provide administrative support, and help ensure the smooth running of the office. You will be working across four different productions, so the ability to multi-task and be an excellent team player is essential.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Co-ordinate casting of performers, either alone or with the help of a Casting Director.
• Co-ordinate the hiring and supporting of crew members.
• Researching and organising catering for shoots and production meetings.
• Supporting location scouting and recces.
• Ensuring production paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
• Tracking and logging receipts and payments relating to productions.
• Supporting the production during the shoot.
• Any other production matters.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience:
- Experience of working with film/video productions
- Administrative, organisational and clerical skills
- Excellent communication at all levels within an organisation
- Experience of working to tight deadlines

Skills:
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent team player
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a flexible manner
- Ability to identify, set-up and maintain systems and processes
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise
- Ability to multi-task
