JOB SPECIFICATION
A TV company is seeking an experienced (a minimum of two years) bookkeeper/accounts assistant using SAGE 50 Professional. Experience on SAGE or similar accounts package is essential. TV experience is not essential. Strong Excel skills and the ability to use the data import facility within SAGE will be a distinct advantage. The principal responsibilities of the successful candidate will include but not be restricted to the following:

-Support the Production Accountant in his duties
-Monitor the PO system (validating, checking and matching invoices to POs)
-Post invoices using SAGE 50 Professional (high volume)
-Follow up supplier queries
-Arrange payments to suppliers
-Handle the Petty Cash requirements of the production and in particular ensure that all floats are properly monitored
-Maintain the Bank accounts and prepare the bank reconciliations
-Monitoring staff payments and ensuring temporary and additional staff are included on weekly payroll runs.
-Dealing with various day to day accounting queries raised by production staff
-Ensure proper filing of all accounting paperwork
-Any ad hoc duties as necessary

The role is a full-time fixed term role and will not suit part-time or temporary candidates. The dates will initially be from February 2013 to December 2013 with a view to extension
Salary negotiable and will be based on previous relevant experience
Preferably based in or around Cardiff
Preferably be able to drive
