An opportunity has arisen within a highly reputable TV production company that specialises in Documentaries and Factual for an experienced Accountant with a wealth of experience gained within the industry and ideally extensive exposure to Production Accounting.

Reporting into the Head of Finance this position will support the Production Management teams providing financial support and guidance alongside being that essential link between Production, Finance and Senior Management.

This role will work across a number of productions at any one time and requires an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is a natural at building great working relationships around the business!

This position provides a hybrid working environment!

The role:
Support the Production Execs & Production Managers with production budgets and schedules, continuously monitoring and analysing spend
Prepare cost reports for internal & external use
Prepare production cashflows in line with schedule and monitor monthly income and expenditure
Develop production finance plans and communicate with broadcaster/co-pro/distributor finance teams
Ensure timely Broadcaster payments and are inline with agreements and approved milestones/budget
Manage payroll including monthly journals
Ensure industry/broadcaster guidelines and procedures are adhered too
Manage year end production audits, liaising with the auditors
BFI incentive & tax credit calculations; preparing interim & final applications
Attend weekly Production meetings
Report on production income and expenditure, analysing and advising on production recoveries and profitability.

The person:
A proven track record of accounting gained within the TV Production industry
Knowledge of HMRC Film & Television industry, guild, ,tax, ,union and other relevant regulations and guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge others whilst maintaining excellent working relationships
Ideally extensive experience of Production Accounting gained across many productions
Solid understanding of the processes in TV production
Able to work under pressure and to tight working deadlines
A good understanding of production/funded development schedules & budgets
Organised, diligent, self motivated and a great team player.
Able to take initiative and a willingness to learn.
