Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading Television & Film production company who, in recent years, has been growing from strength to strength and is now one of the leading TV Producers.
Currently with an enviable list of productions to their name, both in the UK & US, this is an exciting business to work for.

Reporting into the Production Finance Manager is a great role for an experienced Production Accountant who will work across the slate of Scripted Productions in the UK & US.

Working alongside the Production Managers/Line Producers, you will manage all aspects of the budgets and programme related finances.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have had exposure to working on scripted production and ideally of working on an international basis. You will need to have a bright and engaging personality and be able to work across a number of productions.

The role:
Manage a multiple productions simultaneously across a varied slate, to include cost reporting to the broadcasters;
Manage the relationship with Production Management teams to ensure accurate forecasting, planning & reporting of the production spend throughout the lifecycle of the productions;
Provide effective financial control and management of budgets on productions and regular cost reports to advice on any cost reductions or utilisation of funds;
Prepare monthly production cost reports;
Prepare up to date forecasting on all productions across multiple currencies and managing the FX variance, allocating to budget;
Process Tax Credits/Training rebates;
Highlight and monitor any potential overspends, cost reductions & ringfences/potential savings;
Monitor, control & reconcile all cost reports on a weekly basis (more regularly if required);
Challenge actual & potential variance to budget, and support the production execs with information to make strategic decisions;
Prepare production cash-flow reports, monthly cash-flow reporting and ensure currency spend is accurately forecasted/hedged;
Set up and oversee payrolls for UK/US productions
Manage the accounting systems and provide leadership/support to location production accountants;
Prepare any required statutory accounts/legal reports relating to scripted productions;
Ensure Group/company policies are adhered to.

The Person:
Strong previous working experience of Scripted Production Accounting within Television or Film is essential;
Ideally exposure to both UK & US union operations;
Working knowledge of industry VAT, Artist Payments and Film industry guidelines;
Experience of working across multi-currencies;
Ability to multi-task in a pressurised environment;
Strong, confident communication and interpersonal skills;
Effective at building positive professional working relationships with Production staff, finance staff and external stakeholders;
Competent user of Excel;
Ability to use initiative, being able to influence others and accept delegated responsibility;
Comfortable in dealing with the administrative aspects of the job, alongside the more interesting aspects of the role.
