As the BBC's education and learning offer, Bitesize helps millions of students to progress their education. Producers are vital in delivering our content. You will manage a team of Assistant Producers and Researchers, and work closely with teams across the wider Children's & Education department, Nations, and external partners to deliver an impactful, multi-media, educational campaign for KS2 (7-11 year-olds).

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

Deliver the Bitesize Primary Positive Role Models hybrid campaign across both digital and outreach activity.
Commission high-quality digital content (audio, video, copy, visuals) and promotional materials from independent producers.
Translate expert advice and curriculum learning outcomes into a clear, actionable content delivery plan.
Use your educational campaign and digital/interactive production experience to manage this multi-faceted project to schedule and budget, applying strong editorial judgement throughout.
Build collaborative relationships with internal and external partners and support the wider team to deliver excellent work.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Digital content-making skills: Practical experience of interactive production to deliver hybrid (digital and outreach) campaigns with multiple components, platforms and partners.
Editorial skills: Significant experience of delivering hybrid campaigns for children, aligned to the UK curriculum. Excellent editorial judgement and experience of applying editorial guidelines and compliance procedures to complex and challenging subject matter for children.
Project management: Working knowledge of project management methodologies and experience of scoping, managing and delivering large campaigns, to budget and schedule.
Working with suppliers and partners: Experience of commissioning and working with independent producers to deliver short form video, audio, interactive content, and campaign materials within BBC guidelines. Experience of identifying and building effective relationships with internal and external partners to increase the impact of a campaign.
Team management: Experience of managing and motivating a team and actively managing team performance. Experience of managing internal and external stakeholders.
