ITV News has an opportunity for a journalist to work as a Producer on an attachment basis. The successful candidates will work across multiple ITV News platforms - including TV Output, Streaming and Digital. This role also includes some opportunities working on Newsgathering and in the Field. It involves some shift work, including early starts and some weekend working.
It is a mix of Perm & FTC roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the production of TV News bulletins
* Taking ownership of items including packages, live reports, headline sequences and graphics
* Script writing and video editing
* Researching and selecting archive
* Sourcing and logging video and stills
* Selecting video and soundbites to be edited for headlines and news-belts
* Pitching and developing story ideas
* Researching filming opportunities and interviews
* Carrying out interviews and acting as a field producer, when required, on filming shoots
* Working with our Streaming and Digital teams curating and creating digital video, writing articles and headlines & creating thumbnail images
* Making informed legal and health & safety judgements

* A commitment to creating news coverage that reflects the diversity of Britain's communities
* Good knowledge of Ofcom regulations, the ITN compliance manual and legal requirements and health and safety requirements
* Driving license desirable though not essential
* Foreign language desirable though not essential
