To produce high-quality, original news coverage and films with home affairs correspondents. Providing original journalism, editorial drive and ideas.ResponsibilitiesWork across all C4 News output, including 7pm and multimedia output as directedProduce reporters and correspondents for on-the-day and planned coverageWrite scripts, lead-ins, select picture, research and produce packages Originate story angles for distinctive coverage Find contributors for reports and live guests where applicableProduce creative filmsGenerate ideas for stories, seasons and multimedia coverageProvide imaginative treatments for complex storiesUse AVID to ingest material in the field and in the newsroom Use desktop editing to log, cut, shot-list, top and tail feeds and rushesUse AVID Newscutter to edit packaged reports Ensure stories are accurate and comply with the law and relevant regulationsWork in accordance with ITN guidelines on health and safety in the office and in the field Occasionally work on the output, news-desk or other teamsUndertake work in the field, at home and abroad, producing coverage and working on OBsOccasional work with independent reporters or companiesLiaise with the online team to generate engaging content for the C4 News websiteDeal professionally with members of the public & guestsThis job description identifies the main requirement of the role.
