WHAT'S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

You are a huge rugby fan and love live sport production. Perform's rugby department produces 66 x live Premiership Rugby world feed outside broadcasts, 30 x 60 minute broadcast highlights shows and 1000's of VOD and social media pieces of content for Premiership Rugby and brands/federations associated with domestic and international rugby tournaments every season. You will take a leading editorial role in producing the Rugby Highlights programme for Channel 5, from creating the weekly running order to producing the show in the edit. You will aid in the staffing of the assistant producers and weekend editors along with producing a weekly edit schedule and overseeing the Premiership Rugby VOD deliverables. Your experience of producing creative and exciting content will be invaluable as you use this experience to help develop other members of the Rugby Team. You will also have experience as a VT Co-Ord on live rugby union TV production.

HERE'S YOUR ROLE BROKEN DOWN (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)

Producing the weekly highlights show including RO and editorial with talent

Directing single/multi camera shoots with talent on location

Assisting in the staffing of the weekend edit shifts and edit schedule

VT Co-Ord on live OB's

Oversee the archiving of the weekly rugby matches and shows

Hold regular meetings for new creative ideas

Help develop AP's in the team

Maintain staffing rota

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?

Minimum of 5 Years relevant industry experience

In depth rugby union knowledge, particularly Gallagher Premiership

Demonstrable understanding of live and post production processes from planning to delivery

Experience producing tight turnaround broadcast programming for live playout to air

Experience directing single and multi camera location shoots

Experience as VT Co-Ord on live Rugby Union production.

Demonstrable edit producing experience

Demonstrable experience producing creative and exciting short form VT's

Self editing on Avid or similar
